Admittedly, GNYC didn’t quite get around to beautifying tenmileriver.org web site this year, but that didn’t stop them from getting camp itself ready. The first week is in session, staff have already been on site for over a week, and in spite of the precautions mandated for COVID, scouts will be in attendance, learning great skills, and having fun.
That does mean this site is likely to be a bit slow to get updated, which you probably already noticed. That’s because all of the editors and writers are getting their units ready for camp. In spite of that, stay tuned; my unit (Troop 13, Brooklyn) will be at Camp Aquehonga July 17-23 and I should be able to give you a peak of camp activities. If you’re already there, they’ll be things to trigger your memories, if you have yet to go, think of them as teasers. And if you didn’t sign up at all, well, then it’s “look what you’re missing.”
