 BROOKLYN SCOUTING AWARDS NOMINATIONS The awards committee is planning our annual Brooklyn Scouting Awards Dinner! Nominate volunteers from your unit and/or the District now! To nominate a volunteer: download the form at the below link, complete it, then return it to the Round Table on May 10 or email it to henry.zaradich@scouting.org by NO LATER THAN May 15. SPARK PLUG AWARD: Two unit leaders from EVERY UNIT are eligible for this award. Who in your unit adds that “spark” to scouting? Nominate them now! Brooklyn Spark Plug Award Unit Training Award: Unit Leaders who complete trainings and have tenure in their unit are eligible for receiving the Training award. Training Award for Cub Scouting — Training Award for Scouts BSA Key Unit Leader Award: Cubmasters and Scoutmasters are able to earn the Key Unit Leader award. Cubmaster Key Unit Leader Award — Scoutmaster Key Unit Leader Award Award of Merit: Unit Leaders who meet various requirements in the way they run their unit can earn the Award of Merit. District Committee members who provide noteworthy service to their district are eligible for the District Award of Merit. Unit Leader Award of Merit — District Award of Merit Silver Beaver: The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given at the council level. Silver Beaver Award William D. Boyce Award: The William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award is presented to recognize volunteers who organize one or more traditional Scouting units. William D. Boyce New Unit Award ¡Scouting…Vale la Pena! Service Award: The ¡Scouting…Vale la Pena! Service Award recognizes outstanding service by an adult or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for Hispanic/Latino youth. ¡Scouting…Vale la Pena! Service Award Asian American Spirit of Scouting Service Award: The Asian American Spirit of Scouting Service Award recognizes outstanding service by an adult or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for Asian American youth. Asian American Spirit of Scouting Service Award Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award: The Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award recognizes outstanding service by an adult or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth from rural or low-income urban backgrounds. Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award James E. West Award: The James E. West award is for donors who make significant gifts to the Council Endowment Fund. James E.
